A couple quick updates.

Even though it is summer time, typically a time to relax and enjoy the great Wisconsin weather, here at TCS we have been very busy. Not only have we continued the development of our Wireless Controls Solution and added Performance Reports to Ubiquity, but we have managed to hold a training session (trainng recap to follow in a weeks or so) and add a couple other noteworthy feathers to our cap.

As of June 2007, TCS Basys Controls is proud to offer you ENERGY STAR qualified programmable thermostats that save energy and help protect the environment, without sacrificing features or performance. Click this link for more information.

Taking a cue from another tech savvy manufacturer, we have produced a set of videos which should help explain the differences between a building that has a Ubiquity system installed and one that does "Not". Please stop by the site periodically as we will be releasing additional videos over the next few months.

TCS Basys Controls releases wireless communications capability

One of the biggest issues in building management installations has traditionally been the cost associated with labor required to install network wiring, along with the associated disruption of the client’s business that installation often causes.

TCS Basys Controls has developed a wireless communication system that eliminates the need for network wiring. For multi-site banks and retailers, wireless results in faster roll-outs since installation time is reduced.

The Ubiquity Wireless Solution™ is compliant with ZigBee Standard 802.15.4, which is widely recognized as the standard protocol for wireless communication in the controls industry. The system utilizes the 2.4 GHz frequency range and allows wireless communication between controllers at distances up to 1,000 feet. March 12-14, 2007 Training Recap

Another great training session was held at the Inn on the Park, during a mid-March heat wave. This is the fifth session where we held concurrent Basic and Advanced classes. Both seminars are packed full of product updates, programming details, and live demonstrations. As a bonus, attendees got to experience a little "nice" weather, warm and mostly sunny, not what we would normally expect in Madison, WI in March.

In all our training sessions, we combine individualized experience with the TCS product line and a thorough introduction to our latest software solutions. All attendees learn through supervised instruction and personal "hands-on" experience how to handle routine tasks, as well as sophisticated programming through the Ubiquity Interface. This Fall's Basic session included several workshops (including applications, wiring and software), plus a complete tutorial on Ubiquity version 3. The Advanced session included an overview of Ubiquity version 3, advanced Ubiquity features/functions, and a thorough tutorial on our 2100 series controllers and corresponding HVAC sub-systems

TCS Basys Controls releases first report in Ubiquity Reports Suite

The first of a planned series of reports generated by its Ubiquity enterprise building management system has been released by TCS Basys Controls.

The “Site Level Performance Report” is generated by Ubiquity, the TCS Basys Controls system for controlling and monitoring multiple remote buildings. The report provides valuable information about HVAC, lighting and energy performance for each building in a multi-building organization.

The report is the first of a series that will utilize the Composite Rating System (CRS)™, a proprietary system developed by TCS Basys Controls for measuring and comparing building performance. CRS allows users to set performance benchmarks for various factors including temperature set points, how well desired temperatures are maintained, energy use per square foot, heating or cooling runtime, and other factors. Users can also weight factors according to their importance to management.

Ubiquity calculates a CRS score for each building, allowing managers to see an “apples-to-apples” comparison between all buildings based on their own corporate benchmarks.

The Site Level Performance Report has a “drill-down” format, where the first pages of the report provide summary data, followed by pages of detailed information that managers can refer to if they require more in-depth information.

Also included in the report are specific recommendations based on actual performance. For example, if a particular HVAC unit has an unusually high amount of runtime, the “Recommendations” section of the report will suggest checking equipment sizing and operating condition in that building.

“This report is the first of many reports which will utilize the vast informational advantages that our central server approach provides,” I stated recently in a media interview, “Future reports will expand even further on our vision of providing facility managers with information that was never before possible to obtain.”

Daylight Saving Time Changes in 2007

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 specified that starting in 2007 daylight saving time will be extended. Beginning in March 2007, daylight saving time will start on the second Sunday in March and revert to back to standard time on the first Sunday in November (as opposed to the current first Sunday in April, last Sunday in October schedule).

This change will impact all standalone TCS controllers with 365-day clocks. We will accommodate the new daylight saving time schedule starting with version 1.5 and version 1.6 controllers (available now). For older model standalone controllers, we recommend disabling the "automatic daylight saving" feature and manually resetting the clock twice annually. Controllers connected to Ubiquity or a standalone QD2040 will automatically adjust to the new schedule; however, standalone QD2040's do require a software update. To make matters worse, this change may only be temporary, as this "new" schedule is only in effect for a 2 year trial period. After that, the "real" schedule may revert back, stay the same, or be something completely different. Since no one can anticipate the government’s legislative whims, centralized control is a great solution. With centralized control, changing hundreds of thermostats in an enterprise is a simple automated function (a couple clicks of the mouse), as compared to a repetitive manual task which wastes hundreds of man-hours. AHR Expo 2007 Wrap Up

This year's AHR Expo was a tremendous success. Tons of attendees flooded the TCS booth with interests ranging from our long-lived programmable controls and sensors to our NEW Wireless Control Solution and Preferred Contractor program. Ben Shipley, VP of Enterprise Products and Services, gave a presentation on Monday regarding our enterprise-wide performance reporting capabilities for multi-site installations. Although hectic at times, it was a great show. We appreciate everyone who took the time to stop by and visit our booth. It was wonderful to renew old-friendships and make new acquaintances. We look forward to working with each of you in the coming year.

New Website Online

Our new website is now online! The new site attempts to serve our entire customer base in a more efficient and streamlined fashion while providing a look and feel more inline with our company brand. In addition to the cosmetic changes, we have provided a few tools to quickly access the information you need including standard navigational tools (header, footer, side bar navigation) and quick links to frequently used information.

For end users new to TCS, we have attempted to explain the benefits of using our enterprises management solution to realize both energy and operational savings. We also discuss how our systems are intuitive to use and can basically be self-managed after they are installed. Finally, we also provide a cross-sectional look at our customer base so potential customers can learn how our systems have helped large, multi-site companies take control of their energy use while maintaining the comfort of their employees and customers.

For contractors new to TCS, we have attempted to explain our approach to energy management and how our systems can be used as a new source of revenue. We discuss how our approach to controls allows both experienced controls contractors and newbies alike to provide cost-effective, simple-to-use solutions to their customers. Finally, the cross-sectional look at our customer base allows the contractor to compare possible markets for TCS controls to their current customer base to see how and where new costumers could be gained.

For our longtime customers, we have attempted to facilitate your finding the information you need. We added a product finder which lets you search by model #, category (thermostat, sensor, etc.), or application, and a contractor locator which lets you find local contractors to work on your projects. Finally, we have pulled many of the "frequently used" items into a single "Resources" page to give you once place to go to find most everything you need.

2007: What to look for from TCS in the coming year

As we begin to wind down 2006, a number of our customers have begun to ask, “What’s TCS going to come up with in 2007?” We have a lot exciting things in store for the coming year – I’ll give you an overview of a few of the highlights.

Wireless Network Communications

We are well into our Alpha-testing for our new wireless networking communications system, and should complete Beta tests by the end of January, 2007. I expect official release of our wireless solution by the end of March, 2007.

The TCS Basys Controls Wireless Solution will eliminate the need for network wiring, reduce installation costs, provide faster installations and speed up return-on-investment. Our wireless solution is a state-of-the-art mesh network that is fully compliant with ZigBee standard 802.15.4 and operates at 2.4gH frequency. All those fancy specifications translate into a highly reliable wireless system.

Besides new controllers with wireless capabilities, TCS is working on a backwards-compatible add-on device that will be able to convert stand-alone Superstats into a wireless network. That’s exciting news for companies who were not networked on original installation but are now ready to take the step into Ubiquity central control and monitoring.

You’ll be hearing more about our wireless solution in the next couple of months.

Ubiquity Management Reports

Most of our Ubiquity customers are already aware of the benefits of a remote software/central server approach to building management. But early in 2007, TCS will unleash the most powerful demonstration of the Ubiquity advantage. A suite of reports, encompassing building performance, operations and energy are in development and projected for Q1 release.

The Ubiquity reports will provide multi-building businesses like banks, retailers and restaurants with a level of information and management control never before possible.

Imagine being able to compare each site in your enterprise based on HVAC runtime, temperature set points, and dozens of other factors. Managers will be able to use these reports to pinpoint trouble sites and take corrective action to avoid energy waste and protect building assets.

For the reports, TCS has developed a unique Composite Rating System (CRS) that allows managers to obtain a snapshot of how each building, or group of buildings, is performing based on certain criteria. Managers will be able to set their own benchmarks, making the reports customizable for any enterprise.

Commissioning and programming via PDA

With more and more technicians using PDAs, TCS Basys Controls is developing commissioning and programming software specifically for use on PDAs. Tentatively named “Ubiquity Mobile,” the software will allow users to program controllers and entire networks from their PDA. Watch for details on this program in early 2007.

Preferred Contractor Program

Our Preferred Contractor Program got off the ground in 2006, and we plan to start building on our early success by filling in locations without coverage and providing more benefits to members. If you aren’t aware of the Preferred Contractor Program, it gives member contractors several advantages including:

- First option to bid on national account installation work in their market area
- Reduced prices on TCS factory training
- Recognition as a TCS preferred contractor
- Sales promotions and contests
- Free listing on the TCS web site contractor search

TCS Training Goes On the Road -- Ocean City, MD

In addition to our standard Madison, WI based training seminars and our custom, single-company onsite training, from time to time, we offer "regional" training seminars. The idea is to provide the same caliber of training as we provide here in Madison, but much "closer to home" for our customers. On Sept. 11th through 13th, we found ourselves in Ocean City, MD. The weather and scenery was amazing (especially along the beach) with the only damper being a bit of rough water and winds thanks to Hurricane Florence.

TCS Onsite Training - Berg Inc - Shreveport, LA

On July 13th and 14th, TCS Basys Controls was privileged to take our Basic Training Seminar on the road to Berg Inc. in Shreveport, LA. The temperatures were hot, the humidity high, and the southern hospitality plentiful.

In our onsite training seminars, we tailor the curriculum to meet the specific needs of the group hosting the event. In this case, Berg Inc. has been a customer for many years. They were looking for a refresher for their veteran installers and a to bring the "new guys" up to speed. With this group in mind, we reviewed all of the TCS hardware and completed a thorough tutorial of our latest software solution, Ubiquity v3.0. We also discussed the key benefits to a TCS Basys Controls system, and the typical ROIs and operational savings achieved by our customers achieve. As in our Madison, WI based trainings, all attendees learn through supervised instruction and personal "hands-on" experience how to handle routine tasks, as well as sophisticated programming through the Ubiquity Interface.

TCS Basys Controls is winner in ACHR NEWS 2006 Dealer Design Awards

Middleton, WI – June 21, 2006 – TCS Basys Controls® was recognized for excellence in product design in the third annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel of 45 contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 112 entries from 75 manufacturers. The company’s Superzone CZS (commercial zoning system) was the third place Bronze Award Winner in the Commercial Controls category. The ACHR News is the leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration industries.

TCS announces Preferred Contractor Program

You may have already been contacted by email or phone about the new TCS Preferred Contractor Program.

Let’s get right to the big question: what’s in it for you – the contractor?

First, you become eligible for a volume purchase rebate. Basically you will get a 5% rebate on eligible purchases made this year. Note that national account pass-through hardware sales (Examples: Wells Fargo and WAMU installations) are not eligible for this rebate.

Second, TCS will promote your company on our web site. You’ll be listed as a TCS preferred contractor in your area.

Third, you’ll have first crack at national account installations in your area in those situations where TCS chooses the contractor. Obviously there are some bid situations where you’ll still have to slug it out, but in all other cases, you’ll be at the front of the line.

Finally, you’ll have access to all TCS marketing support – sales brochures, proposal formats, personal assistance in developing proposals, help in developing a web site for your company and much more. Also, there will be special promotions and discounts that only preferred contractors will know about. You’ll also get reduced prices on training.

Some quick FAQS on the program

How many contractors in your area will be accepted into the Preferred Contractor Program? That depends on the population of your area, but most areas will have only one or two preferred contractors.

What are we looking for in preferred contractors? The ideal contractor will bring two things to the table in equal parts: (1) ability to install national account jobs efficiently, and (2) sales capabilities to promote TCS products in your area. In reality, we understand a contractor may be stronger at one or the other but we see this as a 2-way street.

What if a contractor buys TCS products through wholesale distribution? If you buy from a wholesaler, you can still continue buying from them and be part of this program. Call your TCS rep to discuss the specifics.

Upgrade to the Ubiquity Graphical Interface

I am excited to report that next week we will be releasing an enhanced version of the Ubiquity Graphical Interface. We have taken all of your comments and suggestions and have incorporated a lot of that functionality into the application.

Some of the many new features include:

Enterprise Level Navigation
Users will be able to populate sites on the Layout and then have those link down to individual locations. Now users will have a true Enterprise view of their company sites.

Drag and Drop Functionality
Users can drop controllers onto the layout instead of having to select them by name in a drop-down.

More Intuitive Drawing Controls
Drawing lines and shapes are now standard to other drawing programs.

Line Variations
Users can choose different line weights and styles.

Enter Text Directly on Layout
Previously the text had to be entered in a popup window, now users can type directly on the layout.

Verification of Changes
A popup will appear when clearing, deleting or erasing - ensuring that is indeed what you wish to do.

New Tools
Redo is now included, as well as Filled Shapes, Trash, and more intuitive button icons.

Option to Load images onto Server or User PC
By loading onto the PC performance will be substantially enhanced.

Navigation Tree and Site Name
Users can click back within the Navigational Tree and see exactly what site they are on.

Added information Provided for Each Controller
Users can now see the alarms for the controller, Occupancy Status, Cooling or Heating State, Override Status and Room Temp.

Site Information
Users will also be able to see the status of a site and the number of alarms that are currently active.

Marquee points appear at the top of the window.

TCS Onsite Training - Pond's Plumbing - North Salt Lake, UT

On April 26th and 27th, TCS Basys Controls was privileged to take our Basic Training Seminar on the road to Pond's Plumbing in North Salt Lake, UT.

In our onsite training seminars, we tailor the curriculum to meet the specific needs of the group hosting the event. In this particular case, Pond's Plumbing was looking to qualify to bid work for one of our national accounts, but did not have the time or budget to send people to the Madison, WI training sessions. A couple of our employees happened to be visiting another customer in Slat Lake City, so we were able to stop by Pond's for a quick 1-day session. With this goal in mind, we included a quick overview of TCS hardware, a thorough tutorial on our latest software solution (Ubiquity v3.0), and detailed information on installing a system and commissioning a site. As in our Madison, WI based trainings, all attendees learn through supervised instruction and personal "hands-on" experience how to handle routine tasks, as well as sophisticated programming through the Ubiquity Interface.

Description: Decorator style with occupancy override button PLUS warmer & cooler (up/down) buttons. LED stays lit whenever override is in effect and the LED flashes for feedback when the user presses the up or down arrow buttons. The up/down buttons function the same way the up/down buttons function on the thermostat itself - users can only change the setpoint by the number of degrees allowed by the thermostat's program.

TS3004 Quad Outdoor Air Temperature Sensor

Application: Provides redundancy for applications where outdoor air temperature is critical - e.g. boiler control, chiller control and large AHU control. Previously, these applications have relied on the outdoor air temperature sharing capabilities of the QD2040. However, this means if network communications are lost, the ability to share outdoor air temperature data between controllers is also lost.

The TS3004 provides up to four independent outdoor air temperature signals for use by controllers at an attractive cost.

March 13-15, 2006 TCS Training Recap

Springtime in Madison, well at least sort of, and another great training session was held at the Inn on the Park. This time around we held concurrent Basic and Advanced classes for the first time. Both seminars are packed full of product updates, programming details, and live demonstrations. As a bonus, attendees got to experience a little "nice" weather for a change, with temperatures starting at 50Â°F on Sunday and dropping only as far as 39Â°F on Wednesday (the threat of a huge snow storm added a little excitement to Wednesday night and Thursday morning travels).

In all our training sessions, we combine individualized experience with the TCS product line and a thorough introduction to our latest software solutions. All attendees learn through supervised instruction and personal "hands-on" experience how to handle routine tasks, as well as sophisticated programming through the Ubiquity Interface. This Spring's Basic session included several workshops (including applications, wiring and software), plus a complete tutorial on Ubiquity version 3. The Advanced session included an overview of Ubiquity version 3, advanced Ubiquity features/functions, and a thorough tutorial on our 2100 series controllers and corresponding HVAC sub-systems

On February 28th through March 1st, TCS Basys Controls was privileged to take our Basic Training Seminar on the road to Total Comfort Service in Columbia, SC. The weather in South Carolina was fantastic, warm and sunny, which was a nice break from the cold and rainy Wisconsin weather.

Due to popular demand, TCS’ ever increasing product-line and the impending release of the next version of Ubiquity, training will be extended in July and in the foreseeable future from the current 2 ½ days to a full 3 days. The extra half day will be dedicated to providing attendees detailed information on advanced features such as:

November 15 - 17 2004 TCS Training Recap

Another successful training was given at the Inn on the Park November 15 - 17 2004. This training focused on developing core skills to successfully install and properly commission a TCS network of controllers. Extensive time was spent on proper programming and wiring of TCS controllers.

The second and part of the third day of training was spent on commissioning and utilization of Ubiquity within a building network. Given the continued development of Ubiquity into building operations, Maintenance and Energy curtailment - quite a bit of time was dedicated to learning how to fully take advantage of other money-saving features not core to controller setups. Ubiquity offers a broad set of tools to handle the including:

Demand Limiting
Utility Management
Invoice Audits
Documentation of Savings Reports

Ubiquity is close to a version 3.0 release, and the attendees were treated to an opportunity to see some of the forthcoming functionality. The Project Manager who taught the Ubiquity portion of the training also gave the students the chance to let their voice be heard regarding feature requests. Some of those suggestions are now included in the release.

One drawback with all the development that has been happening was the rushed pace of the training. Numerous requests were made by the attendees in their feedback for dedicating more time to Ubiquity training. TCS has committed to providing a more appropriate allotment of time in the future so that there will be plenty of opportunities to discuss all of questions thoroughly.

The attendees were excited by all of the application opportunities. Many stated that this training, more than anything else, gave them the confidence to install, commission, and enhance any TCS controller network.

July 12 -14 2004 TCS Training Recap

This training session marked another successful educational experience for all that came.
Notable to this training, was the inclusion of live demonstrations of Ubiquity commissioning and Water-Loop scenarios. The training board allowed the attendees to see in real-time the sequencing for specific scenarios and the timing for changes. In addition to training on Ubiquity and Loop Control, other topics that were covered include:

Overview of the TCS product line
Controller Networking
Controller Programming and Troubleshooting
Revelation Pro configuration

The participants in this training were very enthusiastic about their experience. One student proclaimed, "The info was good, I feel confident that I can walk up and repair". Others highlighted the emphasis on user-friendliness, "Extremely user friendly - most control companies are overly sophisticated for most applications" and another said, "[the controls are] User friendly not seeming to shy away from the end-user." The statement that best summarizes our customer satisfaction goals at TCS was succinctly stated by one student, "Very impressed with System....excellent job."

Some of the attendees provided helpful feedback, such as one who mentioned that "another day of Ubiquity would be helpful - a lot of ground to cover in one day for all its inherent features". Other students requested "More hands on programming sessions" for future classes. We have taken the requests and will do everything to ensure that future classes are even better suited for the attendees needs.

TCS announces the Release of the QD2040

The QD2040 Embedded Site Communication Center represents the next level in off-site management and communications. Going beyond the QD2020, QD2020i or QD2020ie the QD2040 has an embedded web server and software interface. Administrators and users have the flexibility now to access the information from their building control network through a number of means -

Connecting directly with the QD2040 through an Ethernet connection
Connecting directly with the QD2040 through a dial-out ISP connection
Accessing it directly by dialing into it with a standard phone dialer

A well-suited solution for single-site applications, users pay a one-time upfront cost with no other required software. The QD2040 embedded interface contains all the functions and features that are found in the Ubiquity server, including global functions, Smart Scheduling, reporting tools, energy features, robust alarming, and much more.

The QD2040 can also act in concert with a centralized Ubiquity server for customers that require centralized management and a true set of Enterprise level features. The QD2040 has a lot flexibility in its mode of communications, beyond the method of communication such as Ethernet, phoneline, satellite, etc., users can configure on-times (For shared phoneline scenarios), frequency of communication, and time-out configurations for wireless applications.

The QD2040 also has a powerful set of tools for large network support and energy management. The QD2040 supports configurable sub-systems for Loop Control applications. It also has demand limiting and configurable energy reduction measures with its set of Energy Policy features. Users may also attach monetary figures to the energy readings to generate documentation of savings reports.

Building Tech Americas Recap – Miami Beach FL

From June 16 - 17 TCS had the opportunity of exhibiting at the Building Tech Americas Conference in Miami Beach, Florida. TCS also presented a paper on Cost-Effective Networked EMS Solutions. The Building Tech Americas was an, "...international forum on the most important technologies for the future of integrated and intelligent buildings with a specific focus on HVAC, Lighting and Security." Attendees included Engineering firms, Contracting firms, Building owners and developers, and Integration firms.

TCS was able to connect with some great attendees during the exhibition hours.

"This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase TCS capabilities in the Latin Market. We were able to demonstrate Ubiquity, our web-based front-end, and our lines of controllers and thermostats all in Spanish.

"The real need is to continue exhibiting at shows similar to Building Tech to build awareness of our support of Latin American market. The attendees that we spoke to were excited by the prospects our product-line brings to their applications."

Ben Shipley also presented a paper outlining the flexibility and cost-effective nature of a staged installation strategy from standalone controls to Enterprise integration. TCS' product line offers the scalability in the hardware and software to reduce the amount of redundant expenditures as Building owners opt for more sophistication at a later point.

PRSM Recap – Hollywood, FL

From April 25-27 TCS exhibited at the Professional Retail Store Maintenance Conference in Hollywood, FL. TCS also presented a seminar titled, Cost Effective Networked EMS Solutions for Small Box Retail at the Technology Center of the conference. PRSM represents a group of individuals and their companies dedicated to advancing industry awareness of retail facilities maintenance for all industries, while promoting professional and ethical standards to service the customer with added value.

As an ongoing participant of the annual PRSM conference, TCS has become recognized as an industry leader of innovative communications technology. This has been reflected in TCS having been asked to participate in the Technology Center for the past two years.

Brian Tarbert, TCS National Accounts Manager, presented a 45 minute seminar at the Technology Center titled, Cost Effective Networked EMS Solutions for Small Box Retail. This presentation focused on the advantages of a scalable product line; progressing from stand-alone controls to a robust Energy Management System by continually building on a nucleus of controls.

“The PRSM show, its exhibitors and attendees represent industry leaders in the retail field, looking for solutions from simple stand-alone systems to more complex and integrated strategies. TCS Announces Participation in BuildingTech Americas June 15 – 17 in Miami Beach, FL

TCS announces that they will be participating in this year’s BuildingTech Americas June 15 – 17 in Miami Beach, Florida. This marks the first time that TCS has exhibited and presented at a show targeting Latin Markets.

This marks the inaugural year for the forum that focuses on

“…presenting the latest in integrated systems and solutions for Climate Control, IT, Life Safety & Fire, Lighting, Security & Access Control, Telecom and Vertical Transport for commercial and industrial buildings.”

Ben Shipley, the Director of Emerging Markets at TCS, stated,

TCS joins CABA and participates on the oBIX standards committee

TCS recently joined the CABA organization. CABA (Continental Automated Buildings Association) is

North America's only industry association dedicated to providing information, education and networking opportunities relating to home and building automation.

TCS joins the ranks of other industry leaders in the endorsement and dissemination of industry related research and information. In conjunction with TCS’ membership in CABA they will also be participating on the oBIX (Open Building Information Xchange) standards committee. OBIX is the proposed standard for an XML based interoperability protocol. Numerous groups within the industry are active in its involvement and are committed to its success. Ben Shipley, the Director of Emerging Markets at TCS proclaimed,

“Successful adaptation of an XML standard would truly bring convergence in our industry with other industries and provide a common communications platform that would bring an open standard. I’m enthusiastic about the opportunity this presents. If oBIX becomes a standard - contractors, technicians, and other customers would have a protocol that would let them manipulate and integrate building control and information into almost any business application.”

TCS is actively endorsing and developing products that will operate with the proposed standard and is committed to ongoing support.

February 16 - 18 2004 TCS Training Recap

This session's training class was a well attended, overwhelming success. Numerous participants from diverse industry backgrounds came together for a 2 1/2-day training seminar that covered all aspects of TCS hardware and software. Topics included:

Overview of the TCS product line
Controller Networking
Controller Programming and Troubleshooting
Ubiquity commissioning and programming
Revelation Pro configuration

In general the feeling was the classes were well prepared and very informative. One attendee mentioned that TCS offers a, "...very simple product. When combined with Ubiquity, it seems to have many features." Other attendees were more unrestrained in there enthusiasm stating simply that the classes were, "Awesome!” One participant, new to the HVAC industry, responded to the question asking him if he had the confidence and knowledge to install controls now that he had attended by saying, "Yes, but since I am new to installing controls - I need practice soon before I forget what I learned." TCS has included with each class detailed instructions for everything covered, plus resources accessible online for future reference. Overall the consensus was that the seminars were helpful and that the TCS control line is simple to use and easy to install.

Steve Manthey the director of training mentioned, "This has to be one of the best groups of students that we've had at our training. Everyone was well-informed and brought questions and feedback to the classroom. We are always looking forward to ways that we can address ongoing concerns and new ways to improve our products." He continued, "We tailor each session to address the needs of the contractors, dealers, and technicians that are attending. I deem the class a success when I feel everyone leaves empowered with an understanding of how to use our products and knowing the broad applications for our product." One attendee summed Steve's feelings perfectly in his comments; "I was very impressed with the range of products and applications that your products cover."

One thing that will never be forgotten by everyone who attended was Steve's mishap in the lobby. Nobody had ever seen a lip grown so big in such a short amount of time.

TCS has officially released the intended shows, conventions and workshops that they plan on exhibiting at for the 2004 year.

Jack Toal, the president of TCS/Basys Controls stated, “We have decided to be more participatory in the industry shows this year. In times past we have limited our booth presence to a select few conventions, however this year we intend to increase our visibility within the industry and with our customers. We have several important developments, including our QD2040, which we want to introduce to the industry. We found that exhibiting at these trade shows is a great way to increase the profile of these products.”
