there seems to be a problem using a serial to USB adaptor on our laptops.

There are several steps to troubleshooting this sort of problem. First, what brand and type of USB to serial adapter are you using? We have found that the "fancier", "more user friendly" adapters usually do not work (to "smart" and/or complex for their own good). We have an adapter available (PI1000) which works very well, if you need to change that out. Second, are you able to select the correct comm port when setting up/creating the network in RevPro? If you cannot, then you need to go to the Windows Device Manager and get that resolved. Third, if you still have not found the problem by this point, you can try changing the comm rate to something SLOWER than 9.6 kbps -- NOTE: you must change this on all devices on your control network. Finally, since this is a complicated issue/fix, I would recommend that you call in 800.288.9383) and talk to a member of our tech support staff.

Thanks for your comment.
