Builconn Recap – Dallas Texas
From April 13 – 16 TCS exhibited and presented at Builconn in Dallas Texas. Builconn was an exceptional event profiling future trends in the Building Automation industry and the latest in integration strategies and development. Overall TCS deems the event a success,
“The show presented an excellent opportunity for TCS. We were able to meet with and learn about many of the new up and coming trends within the Building Management and IT industries. TCS has always emphasized providing their customers with the latest in innovation and integration technologies. By being present at this conference we substantiate that commitment.” commented Mike Cannoy.Ben Shipley participated on a panel titled, Integrating with the Enterprise.
“The Enterprise is the future of the Building Automation Industry. As the value of data, no matter at what level, becomes more apparent within the industry as a whole – we will continue to see initiatives from Operations and IT groups mandating the ability to readily integrate into other currently installed applications. Among the many promising technologies, XML / Web Services stands out as the greatest opportunity to realize that mandate.”He continued,
“This is a tremendous boost for the Building Automation industry. One of the greatest problems within our industry has been realizing the potential of the hardware. Oftentimes, whether through ignorance of its capabilities, or simply because the knowledge resides with one person at a company, BAS systems can often lay neglected. Integration provides a broader user base to promote continued interest in the Building System, and as a consequence of the greater attention, it provides greater visibility for all of the capabilities. ”To view a similar PowerPoint presentation to the one given at Builconn click here.
